There's a cable car to the top of Kasprowy Wierch. It takes twelve minutes and costs about the same as a decent lunch. I mention this so that you understand I had a choice.
The walk from Kuźnice is three hours if you're steady, four if you stop for every marmot, and I stop for every marmot. The path goes up through the forest, then out of it, then up the side of a valley that looks like somebody folded it. Near the top there are chains.
The view from 1,987 m is Slovakia on one side and all of Poland on the other, and a café with a queue of people who came up in twelve minutes and look, I have to say, fresher than me.
I took the cable car down. My knees wrote the review: five stars, would not walk down. Feet: no comment. Heart: full.
